The US automotive sector is driving a surge of additional freight flowing into the country from Mexico. According to S&P Global Data, exports of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles from Mexico have revved up by an impressive 10% year over year in the first four months of 2023.

The Journal of Commerce recently turned to CFI President Greg Orr's 30 years of transportation industry experience for his insights on automotive input rising.

“I wouldn’t say there’s been a surge, but our business is very consistent," said Orr.
