CFI named safest U.S.-based truckload carrier among fleets amassing 100 million or more miles in Association’s 44th annual Fleet Safety Awards competition
JOPLIN, MO – January 23, 2020 – CFI, an operating company of TFI International Inc. (TSX: TFII, OTCQX: TFIFF), a North American leader in the transportation and logistics industry, has been recognized for superior safety performance by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) in its 44th annual Fleet Safety Awards competition.
CFI was honored by the Association for “an unparalleled commitment to safety,” among qualified truckload carriers in the Division 6 category, which covers those who have amassed 100 million or more miles of operations in North America during the year. Carriers are measured on their accident frequency rate per million miles driven, and CFI achieved the lowest accident frequency rate for U.S. carriers in Division 6 for 2019.

CFI deploys some 2,025 professional drivers operating a fleet of 1,875 tractors and 7,310, 53-foot dry van trailers operating throughout the U.S. and Canada, with cross-border service to Mexico. For additional capacity, the company also contracts with 300 owner operators. In 2019, CFI amassed more than 232 million miles delivering freight in North America, serving some of the nation’s leading commercial, industrial, manufacturing and retail businesses.
