CFI Celebrates National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

From September 15-21, 2024, we had the privilege of celebrating our professional drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Our Joplin terminal came alive with festivities, serving breakfast and lunch, hosting raffles with amazing prizes from generous vendors, and even featuring a safety pre-trip challenge—where one lucky driver took home a 4K TV.

Reflecting on the significance of the week, Brent Helle, Senior Vice President of Operations, said, “What I appreciate most about our drivers is the commitment they give us day after day. They spend weeks on the road and away from family and friends to make sure we all have the items we need daily. It’s not easy being a driver, and most people can’t do what they do. We all need to remember that.”

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the sense of community and camaraderie. Helle commented on how meaningful it was to bring in CFI's Drivers of the Quarter and Million Milers: “The best part of our events is seeing people working together. Hearing about their journeys and their advice on how they got to where they are is always inspiring.”

Appreciation events also offered the opportunity for CFI's professional drivers to share their feedback. “I enjoy it when drivers open up and really tell me what’s on their minds,” added Helle. At CFI, we remain committed to listening to our drivers and ensuring their voices are heard.
